Welcome to COM 100: English and Communication 1!
I'm really excited to have you in this class.
This course is designed to help you build real-world communication skills.
Since you're preparing for the world of work, a lot of what we do will be practical and geared toward interpersonal development.
You'll build your confidence in speaking and writing through group work, oral presentations and writing exercises.
Most importantly, this is a supportive space. You are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and give constructive feedback. The more you participate, the more you'll learn and be clear on concepts we study.
Pay attention to weekly uploads for notes, activities and/or assignments.
