This course shall familiarize students with the field of Abnormal Psychology. Students will become acquainted with fundamental concepts, theories, methods, and professional issues that are pertinent to Abnormal Psychology. Knowledge pertaining to the activities of the psychologist in this field, criteria for diagnosis, and clinical assessment, shall be instilled through the use of research, relevant current media (books, movies, articles, etc.), personal study, and class discussions.
