COURSE TITLE: Introduction to Public Administration

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course has
been designed to provide a comprehensive view of public administration, its
relationship to the political system, and its evolution through time. It
introduces students to the basic ideas and theories of public administration
and will expose students to important issues related to the field – what is the
role of government, how is it organized, modern bureaucracy, major trends in
public sector reform, public policy cycle and instruments governments use to
implement policy, governmental structure, ethics integrity and corruption.

This course introduces students to human behavior and mental processes, teaching fundamental guidelines, practices, concepts, theories, and methods. It promotes empathy, confidentiality, trust, self-love, and appreciation for others in a teaching style.
